“What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary.”

- George Bailey, It's a Wonderful Life

As we come into the closing months of 2015, November's HHC theme is - perhaps - a little mushy for some. However, as we all interpret these themes differently, it should be interesting to see what members come up with for Magic in the Moonlight.

Personally, there are three things I think about when it comes to this theme. The first comes with the recent Woody Allen film "Magic in the Moonlight". It's a film about fake psychics and illusions with Emma Stone and Colin Firth. Seen as a cute film, it has so many romantic and comedic touches by Allen, that you really do fall in love with everything he creates.

Secondly, I think of the quote above. It's a Wonderful Life is a film that really resonates with me. In fact, we watch it every Christmas Eve as per tradition in my family. And that quote is something I've always treasured and is simply synonymous with the film.

And thirdly, I think about love. The moon is so mysterious and full of awe; and that's exactly what love is to me.

So the question is, what's Magic in the Moonlight to you?

Happy writing!
